Velosi’s Mill Surveillance inspections assure our clients that the pipe or steel being produced is available for their projects and is in compliance to the required specification, code or standard. Velosi personnel across the globe maintain extensive knowledge throughout the seamless and welded manufacturing processes and are able to do this by using its membership of societies such as API.

Our services not only cover Linepipe and Steel production but include OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) including drill pipe and specialised casings.

Clients may select the level of surveillance at the mill to suit their requirements, from a full inspection team to random surveillance. The inspection team may be made up of expatriate personnel, local personnel or a combination of the two to suit the specific project requirements. This may include a team consisting of inspection supervision, hydro-test inspection, final bench inspectors, load out inspection, coating etc.

During the production monitoring, Velosi personnel are able to use their own tracking and reporting documentation or, if necessary, use the mill’s own internal system and verify the activities to that system. The system includes the tracking of defects rates and the actions taken for rejected items.

Coating Surveillance

Velosi’s Coating Surveillance services provide assurance to our clients that the application of their coating systems is in compliance to the required specification, code or standard. Velosi’s experience in application and inspection of various types of industry coatings and paint systems, includes epoxy coatings, weight coating such as concrete, tape coating and butumastic hot coating.

If you have a requirement for an Independent Inspection Authority to validate the test results during the production process, our scope of accreditation allows us to accommodate this requirement and endorse the certificate in accordance with EN standards.
