Vendor Inspection
Activity Reporting

Although some clients may not have the time to read through a long detailed report, it is Velosi's philosophy to submit very detailed reports with a brief summary section on the front page for such clients. On the rare occasion that material arrives on site and the client has concerns or queries a brief inspection report will be of limited use as a reference document.

Detailed reports are submitted in typed format by e-mail within two working days of every visit, along with supporting documentation in adobe format and digital photos where applicable .

All Velosi's field Inspectors are equipped with personal computers or laptops and are able to provide electronic reports by e-mail. In addition, where effective, we are able to include digital photos as a more visible aid to reporting.

Normally reports are submitted on the Velosi standard report form, however, if required, reports can be submitted on client own report forms and can be submitted by fax or post should e-mail not be convenient to the client. Reports are always with reference to, but not limited to: documentation submittals and approvals/sub orders/material in stock/manufacturing status/inspection requirements/scheduling/actions etc.

All reports are technically reviewed for completeness and correctness by the local Velosi office Co-ordinator prior to submission to the client. The company Technical Manager also reviews random reports once reviewed by the co-ordinator so as to ensure a tiered quality control process for the report review.

Velosi fully appreciate the clients needs such as timeliness of report submission, thus we set our own in-house Key Performance Indicator targets, one of which involves the turn around or submission time of reports. 80% of inspection reports to be submitted within 2 working days.

Velosi operate a very effective Flash reporting system whereby the field Inspector completes a 1 page Velosi standard Flash Report by hand and faxes it to Velosi before leaving the vendor works. The Flash report is then immediately scan e-mailed on to the client focal point and works as exit call.
