All clients / projects have a dedicated office based Velosi Co-ordinator who is responsible for managing all call offs received from that client in a timely, precise and efficient manner. In order to achieve this Velosi has developed a complete management system AMIS.
AMIS is Velosi's software program designed in-house as a complete Quality Management package for vendor inspection and expediting of engineered material and equipment. It is used by all Velosi Office based personnel to organise, manage and perform vendor inspection assignments that provide assurance of vendor compliance with procurement documents. AMIS optimises administration efficiency, virtually eliminating the need for support clerical staff. It automates many functions, such as issue of assignments; budgetary control; tracking of non conformances; order status'; scheduling of visits and initial contact with manufacturer.
To assist the co-ordinator with budgetary control and the inspector selection process, Velosi has adapted a copy of the Microsoft mapping program, 'AutoRoute' to include all our approved field inspectors and expeditors at their base locations along with all of the main vendors on a worldwide basis. Is program enables Velosi to calculate the travel time and distance from one of our inspectors to a specific vendor with an accuracy of 90%.
