The authorized Inspector undertakes all inspections specifically required of him by the relevant standards plus such other inspections as he believes are necessary to enable him to certify that all vessels which he authorizes to be stamped with the Code Symbol have been designed and constructed in accordance with the requirements.

An example of a few important stages of inspections is listed below:

Verifying that the Manufacturer has a valid Certificate of Authorization and is working to an acceptable Quality Control System.
Verifying that the applicable design calculations have been performed by an experienced Pressure Vessel Engineer for safe working pressures and temperatures.
Verifying that materials used in the construction of the vessel comply with the requirements, as mentioned in the design.
Verifying that all welding and brazing procedures have been qualified and acceptable to Authorized Inspector.
Verifying that all the welders, welding operators, brazers, and brazing operators have been qualified to the procedures.
Verifying that the heat treatments, including PWHT, have been performed correctly as per code.
Verifying that material imperfections repaired by welding were repaired and acceptable to Authorized Inspector.
Verifying that required nondestructive examinations, impact tests, and other tests have been performed and that the results are acceptable.
Complete visual inspection of vessel both inside and outside to confirm that the material identification numbers have been properly transferred and is without any visual defects.
Complete inspection of vessel to confirm that there are no dimensional deviations and witnessing the hydrostatic or pneumatic tests and performing internal and external inspections before, during and after the test.
Verifying that the required marking is provided on the name plate and permanently attached to the pressure vessel.

On satisfying that the inspections are satisfactory the inspector issues a Certificate of Compliance and permits the manufacturer to apply the code stamp.

Our inspectors are also qualified to carry out inspection of repairs/alterations as per National Board Inspection code of NBBI , USA with certification with R stamp, a symbol to assure that the repair/alterations have been done to the full requirement of the relevant code.
