Clean Up UAE Campaign - 19 Dec 2009
Velosi's UAE staff participated in Clean Up UAE Campaign as a volunteers during their day off in December as part of Velosi continued commitment to its Environmental projects. The Campaign supported by government officials, public and private sector organizations, sponsors like Etisalat, Union National Bank, media and Velosi.
The Campaigns success and popularity has come a long way since its inception in 2002 by Emirates Environmental Group.
Last year the Campaign saw more than 23000 participants in 44 different locations in all the seven Emirates, this year-around
25000 participants from all over the Country. Clean Up UAE became a National Event and National Day to care for the environment
of the country.
After official registration of Velosi as a participant, we been provided with Location map of Site to clean and List of Do’s and
Don’ts. T-shirts, gloves and biodegradable garbage bags we received on Site. We cleaned Abu Dhabi public beach from garbage.
At the end of the Campaign all participants can truly say that they have done something “together for a better environment”, that Event was successful and even enjoyable. It was our social responsibility and environmental safety contribution. |
